Very cute Amy - as always! And I loved the title of this post! My Mom brought some gourds over yesterday - but they will all most likely get carved up and chopped. my kids play with them and pretend they are indians and that is their food. they hollow some of them out for bowls and have all kinds of fun with them! My Middle Girl did bring some in along with some leaves and decorated her dresser. I think the decorating fetish has been passed down!
I wish gourd colors were for all seasons! They are the BEST natural decor! {I thought acorns were up there too until we collected some in a glass vase and later found little worms had crawled out of them!!!}
I think it is perfect. I so love gourds, they are absolutely beautiful, come in so many shapes, sizes and colors, and every one is perfect in it's own way. (Hey, just like people!!!!!)
I picked up my pack of 5 gourds at WalMart. I should of got two packs because five little gourds don't really pack much punch in a basket. Unless of course I try to display them individually like you did. Hmmmm....
love the gourds! they deserve the spotlight for a few more weeks!
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful! I need to get myself out to the local farm to snag some gourds. :)
