Progress Report - Doll House

It's been about a month since a box arrived containing pieces of a dollhouse.

Though I predicted, while assembling the dollhouse, my husband would look like this...

I've actually seen him look more like this...

Despite the reviews warning against first time modelers attempting this dollhouse, he is doing an amazing job.

It's getting harder and harder to hide this GIGANTIC dollhouse from Grace.

T-minus 40 some days to go...

  1. I was wondering how that was going! Wow.. I'm impressed! He's totally kicking my husband's bump:P Yeah, he didn't even start. I'm thinking of just doing it myself! :D The house looks awesome!! About a month ago I saw a blog post of a mom that had a tea party with her daughter and they presented some of the sweets in the house... it looked absolutely darling! I think taking that idea and incorporating with a dessert table would be amazing... Maybe that's what you should do for Grace's birthday!! I think I pinned it under my dessert tables board.. if you want to check it out. If you don't find it, I can send it to you:)

    1. Carri! I can't wait to get to the decorating part. I think we'll paint it pink and white...shocking, I know. I'll be sure to post more pictures as we continue to make progress. I am not sure who is going to be more excited about this dollhouse, Grace or me!

  3. That is quite the undertaking. Just think, when he's done you can DECORATE!

  4. That does look like a lot of fun to make! At least the pieces are all cutout and everything. It will look gorgeous, I'm sure! I'm curious though, how much does a dollhouse like this cost? if you don't mind me asking...
