I couldn't resist

I had vowed to avoid Goodwill this week and I failed.

Yep, I bought myself a chair.

The best part, she {yes, this beautiful chair is a lovely lady} was only $3.99.

Even though she needs some TLC can't you see how sexy she is?  I mean look at those legs and that tufting.

When I showed my husband this beauty, he responded, 'Oh, you bought a chair.'

Um, what I am sure he meant to say was, 'Amy, I can't believe you found that stunning chair for just $4.  She's lovely, just like you'.

At least someone appreciates this chair as much as I do...

  1. I LOVE it! My husband had a similar response to the chairs I found at a yard sale. I can't WAIT to see what you do with it! And it will look just LOVELY placed back in your 100 year old house I'm sure :)

  22. Guys just don't get it, they just don't. They are not wired that way (ok most). That is why you have us! So we can squeal and say wow what a bargain, and it's gonna look even more FABulous when you are done it with!! I wish I had a spare corner in my apartment that I could just get a fab chair like that, or piece of furniture to refinish. But alas I don't, so I will just oooh and ahhh at others' repurposing and go reorganize my closet so that maybe just maybe I can fit more stuff in there lol. Where are you planning on putting it?

  23. You crack me up! And I just cannot believe that your goodwill has such low prices. Every day this week I've thought, I should just run to goodwill and see if they have anything, but I have held myself back. Good thing it's so hot out that I don't feel like venturing out any more than I have to. After the longest yardsale it's been hard waiting a full week til the next garage sales! I'm desperately trying not to succumb to midweek shopping. If I could get a great deal like that, I really don't see what the harm would be, but I have a feeling such a bargain would not be what I would walk away with. Good work. What are your plans for it?
