Dandelion Wishes

One of my favorite things about Spring is the pure excitement Grace shows when she spots a dandelion.

Her eagerness to pluck it, make a wish and blow the dandelion seeds makes my heart melt.

The problem being,  instead of seeing dandelions when I look outside, this is my current view.

I am a fan of snow at Christmas {which we had none of this past year}.  After Christmas, though, I start counting down the days until Spring returns.

So, since there are no dandelions at the moment, I decided to make some of my own.

My dandelion wish would be that Spring will show herself soon.

If you are dreaming of dandelions, or in need of your own wishes, check out this hand embroidered duo of dandelion pillow in my etsy shop.

  1. What a great idea to welcome spring more quickly! I love watching little kids and dandelions. Actually my favorite wine at a local Maryland winery is their Dandelion wine. :)

  7. Beautiful pillow, it has such a nice charm to it! It will go to a nice home in no time! And I WAS gonna say that I was jealous you were having warm weather, but I guess you're not. Hang it there, it's almost over (I'm so sick and tired of it, too, who isn't? oh right, those who live in Florida...)

  11. That is adorable, I love the yellow sunshiney feel of spring on the grey it really does feel like the sun after Winter. I hope you get your dandelions soon.

It's funny no matter what fancy toys are available the old school fun of the garden is always a winner.

  14. You really are so talented and never cease to amaze me with the things you come up with. I have to admit though, that I'm a little envious of your view of all that beautiful snow. Although, I imagine I'd be changing my tune if I had to drive, grocery stop, pick up children, etc. in it everyday. You should totally pack your bags and head south. You wouldn't even have to bring a jacket. :-)
