Why not make this heart shaped headband...
Simply gather the following supplies: Scraps of chiffon or sheer fabric, double fold elastic {headband material}, a heart cut out of felt, scissors and a hot glue gun.
Cut approximately 30-40 circles, quarter sized, out of sheer fabric. Fold each circle in half and with a dab of hot glue at the base, pinch it closed. Place a dab of hot glue onto the felt heart and press your pinched closed sheer circles into it, working your way around the entire heart.
Decide if you'd want your heart to be used as a pin or a headband.
Attach a safety pin, if you prefer it in pin form.
Apply hot glue to the heart and attach it to the elastic, if you prefer it in headband form.
Before you decide what you'll do, make sure that you 'have your heart in the right place'.
hot glue gun...how I heart thee...beautiful

This is gorgeous! I especially like the pin, but the headband is lovely too. And so is Grace :-)

That is absolutely adorable! When I can't decide which way to go, I add both a pin and a hair clip. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Lucy is a *huge* wearer of headbands so I might need to try that (or something similar--perhaps a shamrock...).

That is gorgeous. I think I love it as a big pin against graces black dress the most. Cute as a headband too, I really love this, I would use it all year round :)

ReplyDeleteAmy that is beautiful! I can't believe all the wonderful Valentine projects you have done! So much for being in a creative rut!

What a great tutorial! I have some chiffon that I want to use for a wreath, but worried that it might be able to create flowers...but now, you've given me a fun technique to try out! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Lauren
Well, thanks so much Lauren. Hopefully the glue gun goes easy on your fingers, should you attempt to make one yourself :)
