Birthday Signs

Today is my handsome husband's birthday.

It's become a tradition, every year on his birthday, I make birthday signs using pictures of him from the past year.  I try to come up with a clever or funny caption to go along with the picture.

So, when Riley gets sprayed by a skunk (above), or this crazy man is pulling a tree stump out of a lake, I don't even hesitate, I grab the camera, take a picture and start to brainstorm possible birthday captions.

About a week before his birthday, I'll go through our pictures from the past year.  I decide what makes the cut.  Then, in word, I create the birthday signs.

The night before his birthday, I hide the signs all over the house, waiting for him to stumble upon them and hopefully smile...

Because nearly every day, this sweet man makes me smile and remember not to take life too seriously.

Birthday Traditions Continue

Today is my handsome husband's birthday.

Nearly every day, he does something that makes me smile or laugh.

So, for each birthday we've spent together, I create birthday signs for him.

I find funny pictures he has happily posed for throughout the year and I add a funny caption to it.

Get it, pirate booty...geez, what were you thinking?

Then I hide them all over the house, waiting for him to stumble upon them and hopefully smile...

Birthday Traditions

This weekend we celebrated my husband's birthday.

Birthdays have always been a BIG deal in my family, thanks to my mom. We were raised to really celebrate and make sure that when it is your birthday you...

In hopes of bringing a smile to my husband's face and remind him of all the fun we have had since his last birthday, every year, I make birthday signs.

I pick about a dozen or so pictures and create funny captions for each.

Then, I hide them all over our house for him to stumble upon.

And if you think he doesn't like it, every year, he continues to give me plenty of pictures to find humor in.

So, happy birthday to a man that reminds me not to take life to seriously.
