JOY Burlap Sign

Joy to my front porch...oh yes, and to the world.

My JOY started like this, a $1.99 Goodwill frame.

I took apart my frame, grabbed some left over burlap I had and some Easy Tack adhesive.

I sprayed the back of the board from the frame and attached the burlap.

I drew the letters out on paper, traced them in pencil onto the burlap

and hand painted JOY in red acrylic paint.

When it dried, I put it back in the frame and put it outside for all my neighbors to admire :)

JOY.

Update:  Since last year, and because of our growing barn wood collection, the woodaholic made a beautiful custom barn wood frame for the JOY sign.

Put a Pin In It - Burlap Vase Cover

Have you ever been so inspired by a pin that you immediately need to run out and hunt down all the supplies and create it as soon as possible?

When I saw Thistlewood Farm's 'easy peasy burlap vase project', I had one of those moments.  Less than a day later, I had my very own 'easy peasy burlap vase'.

Fortunately, I already had some flowers, thanks to a crafting experience gone wrong with my handsome husband.

So the timing of this 'easy peasy burlap vase' pin could not have been more perfect.

I love how the burlap wrap covers the stems and water and gives the flowers a more complete look.

This project certainly did live up to its name.  It was both easy and peasy.

If you want to make one of your own, head over to Thistlewood Farm and check out KariAnne's tutorial.
