Halloween Costumes - A Walk Down Memory Lane

My mom made all of my Halloween costumes growing up.  Looking back, the memories I cherish from Halloween, are those of my mom lovingly creating and transforming me into whatever I requested.

Two years ago, I attempted to start creating these same memories for Grace and I made her a Martha Stewart inspired chicken costume

And, I set the bar HIGH with this chicken costume.

Last year, the pressure was on.  Again, I turned to Martha Stewart for inspiration and transformed Grace into a sheep.

This year, I'm not relying on Martha for inspiration.  This year, I am hoping this beautiful material will be inspiration enough.

Any guesses what Grace will be transformed into this year?

  1. I love her costumes! I'm sitting here wondering what it could be. It looks like a princess related. I'm not good with guessing...obviously! :)

  5. She is so stinkin' cute! My first thought was a pig because of the pink, but I know how much Grace loves her princesses though. I'm sure she'll look adorable and love it too.

  7. My mom made all my costumes until my sister was born; then we went for the Collegeville boxes. I made my kids' costumes,as well--ever try to make a dragon costume? It's a bee-otch, I tell you! You are a good mom.

  8. I'm a terrible guesser. I do, however, just loooove your costumes. What a great mom and what fun memories for your daughter. My daughter was just reminiscing about the chicken costume I made for her for a thing at school when she was in kindergarten. She was so mad at me and didn't want to wear it because it was a chicken with a fat gut and she was so sure the kids would laugh at her. It was soooo cute, and I told her the other day that if it was perfect and she loved it she'd probably have forgotten. Now she has a story. Ha!

  9. It would be unfair if I guessed. ;) I just can't wait to see the finished product. Lucy was Little Bo Peep a few years ago. How cute would they have been if they'd gone together (she as sheep and Lucy as Peep)? :)
