Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

Pucker up...

and meet me under the mistletoe.

To make your own 'meet me under the mistletoe' ornament...

Grab the following supplies:
Decorative trim {red sequin}
Cream Felt
Water Erasable Marking Pen
Black and Red Thread and Needle

Using your water erasable marking pen, write 'Meet me under the mistletoe' on the cream felt.  Embroider with the black embroidery thread using a stem stitch.  Cut out a lip shape after the embroidery is complete {this will allow you to cheat the shape, if needed, making it either bigger or smaller}.

Cut a second lip shape out of cream felt, using the back {meet me under the mistletoe side} as a pattern.

Using a needle and red thread, begin to stitch down your decorative trim around the edge of the lip shape {just the front side, the side without the embroidery}.

Your stitches will look like this from the back.

Continue to secure the sequins around the entire perimeter of the lip and then secure a straight line across.

Then work the sequins filling in the bottom half of the lip and finally the top half of the lip.

When both sides are complete you can either glue both sides together OR

hand sew around the perimeter of the lip shape.  Regardless of sewing the sides together or gluing them, you will need to sandwich a ribbon loop in between.

When you're done, hang and wait for your someone special to meet you under the mistletoe.

Kisses!
