A Simple Comment

While visiting one of my favorite blogs:

I couldn't help but drool over this delicious looking  homemade vanilla ice cream.

So, I left a comment, which can actually be seen in part 1, the making of this delicious looking ice cream.

The comment I left said something like: This looks amazingly delicious. Enjoy it enough for the two of us. By the way, where did you get your tablecloth?

In no way did I expect what was to come next.

Sarah, from Dwell on Joy, mentioned she had 2 of the same tablecloths and insisted on sending me one.  I was overwhelmed with this generous offer.

The offer, itself, would have been more than enough and it just reminded me of why I love blogging so much, it's for the people that you meet and the community you feel part of.

So, go share some commenting love today.  You never know what might come from it.  A new blogging friend might be just one comment away.

  3. What a sweet gesture! (Not to mention that that tablecloth is ten kinds of awesome.)

It's funny, I no longer remember our first comment exchange but I'm so glad we connected. And I find it weird that we've never met in person. :)
