Superhero Underwear

Why you shouldn't take your 4 year old shopping for Daddy's new underwear.

Last weekend, the family did a little shopping.  My husband bought a package of new underwear, one of which happened to be really blue.

Grace has been fascinated that there is a pair of bright blue underwear in our house.  She has been asking about them every since they were purchased.

This morning, Grace woke up asking about what crimes the blue underwear fought last night.

Hmm.

I realized a call to my husband was required to clear things up.

Apparently, last night's bedtime story was about the crime fighting blue underwear that flies through the air looking for bad guys.  When a perpetrator is spotted, the underpants cover the perpetrators head OR wind themselves in their feet, restraining them until the police arrive.

Yes.  The world is a now a safer place...

thanks to my husband's underpants :)

And, yes...this blogger did stage a photo session with the crime fighting underwear.  The things I will do for the sake of blogging :)

  1. Love it! What a creative husband you have...and a lucky little girl! And it's alright - I stage pictures all the time for the sake of my writing. Except instead of underwear, (though I won't count that out yet), its my poor kids that are involved :)

  2. baha! Underwear photog sessions. There is probably a market for that, should you need to make some money on the side. Actually, no. I can only imagine the response you'd get to underwear photo session advertisements. Never mind. Don't pursue that business venue.

  6. When I saw the underwear I was curious where you were going with this. HILARIOUS! I love how creative your husband is. Also? I always stage pictures for the sake of writing, but typically its my poor kids. And they never seem to cooperate as well as the underwear did.

  18. This was so funny and adorable! I miss the days when I had younger kids in the house-- they always have so much creativity and crazy obsessions with weird things. Now I have a house full of teenagers....they are crazy too but it isn't as cute!

  21. The underwear is a very cooperative model, maybe I should switch to that instead of my real life kids?
