Wildflower Crown

Amid days of endless rain and even a few snowflakes, spring has made a brief appearance.  One of our favorite spring past times is making wildflower crowns.

The best part of making this crown is gathering the supplies.

Take the weeping willow branches and begin to wind them into a crown shape.  Twist and wind each additional weeping willow branch to help maintain and secure the shape.

When your crown is complete, adorn it with wildflowers.

Then crown a wildflower princess.

I hope spring sticks around a little while longer, I think I want to make a wildflower crown for myself, too!

  3. That is so pretty! It would make a nice flower girl head piece, wouldn't it! I don't see those type of flowers in my area. Do they grow around your house?

  8. Cute, we still have snow, but I think this weekend we will hit the 60's. I just might have to make one too, so I can dance and celebrate the warm weather. :-)

  11. Gorgeous! I love Grace's expression! What a cutie!

I don't think that we have weeping willow anywhere near here. I'm going to have to get inventive if we're going to make our own wildflower crowns.

  12. I love how the weeping willows are bright yellow in the neighborhood right now! No purple flowers in sight yet here though, but would be so nice with the yellow :)

  15. You seriously are the best mama. And your little girl crafts are AMAZING. Do you think it will be okay if I just make myself a wildflower crown since I don't have a little girl to make one for. Pinning to my new board - AMAZING crafts for kids. I'll be putting pretty much all your posts under that new board!
