Do you remember the storm I was caught in where I thought I was going to die? If not, I was stuck in Goodwill, as a micro-burst came through. I mentioned there were people still shopping during the power outage and hurricane like weather. I have a small confession. As I was preparing to die, I was clutching this $4.99 dress in my hands. I figured, I could either be buried in it or wear it to my cousin's wedding.
All my other finds were bought in storm free conditions like this $4.99 bebe dress. It looked ho-hum on the hanger but when I put it on, I loved it. I also bought the black beaded necklace for $1.99. Seriously, who would guess this was a Goodwill outfit?
I also found a really great pair of Gap trousers for $4.99. They are grey with a bit of pinstriping. They are a little long but that can easily be fixed. The shoes, I also bought from Goodwill, months ago, Anne Kline probably for $4.99. And, though not from Goodwill, the top was from Marshalls for $12.99. Can you tell, I love a good deal?
But, I didn't just buy clothes, for myself, I also bought this heavy round vase. It's about 8 inches across in diameter. For .50 cents, I couldn't pass it up.
And this white bowl for .99 cents. I thought it had a nautical feel. I am still not sure exactly where I'll put it or what will go in it.
Then there was this giant D for .99 cents {still in the box}. Are you wondering why I would need a giant D. I actually don't. I gave it to my sister. See, I am a giver :)
And, last but not least. As you all know, I just threw a ROCK a-bye-baby shower. It was as if the Goodwill fairies were watching out for me because a week before the baby shower, this professional pink child's guitar was there waiting...for me. For $5.99, it was the PERFECT accessory to the baby shower.
In other Goodwill related news. Next week, I am meeting a fellow blogger {whom I've never met before}, Erin from Just*Grand at Goodwill. I am hoping I don't have to throw an elbow in her direction over a .99 cent vase, that would probably be bad for fostering blogging relationships, right?
