Out of Sight but not out of Mind - Repost

In efforts to get more organized, I am trying to pare down on some of my current things.

Some things were easy to part with BUT there were other things that I wanted to keep just not necessarily out anymore.


So, I lined up some items that were going to be stored away and took their pictures.


Then, in a word document I created some text boxes and pulled in the pictures of those items that were going to be stored away. Once printed...


I taped it to the box, storing my things.


So, now when I look into my closet, I can still appreciate my 'things'.

They may be out of sight but they are certainly not out of mind.

    Cute! And you won't have to open every box to see what's inside. I started writing down everything, but taking pictures seems like a much better idea!

    What a great idea! I need this for all those storage totes I have in my basement. :) I just wrote on tape with sharpie but a picture would be such a better idea. :)

    At first I thought you were making a valentine collage with all your heart items! That would also be a great way to "keep" your items. Good luck with your purging, I'm in that zone, too :)

    That is a great idea Amy! I should do that with my Christmas decor - It would save a lot of mess and headaches when I pull it all out next November!

    What a clever idea! I have about 5 black plastic boxes sitting in the cellar, all labeled 'deko material'...

    What a great idea. Buying clear bins to store things in can get expensive. Great use of free cardboard boxes. Love it!
