Champagne Floats

Sometimes, there is a cause to celebrate and often times, when it comes to celebrating, champagne is involved.  Sometimes, though, celebrating involves ice cream.  But there's nothing saying the two have to be mutually exclusive.  The solution, champagne floats.

To make your own champagne floats you'll need some champagne, flavored fruit sorbet, champagne flutes and someone to celebrate with.

Put a scoop or two of the fruit sorbet into your champagne flute.

Slowly fill your glass with some bubbly champagne.

Then find someone special to enjoy it with.

Cheers!

  2. You had me at champagne! My favorite. Add the sorbet? Yes please. This sounds AMAZING. How have I never tried this. Is the fact that it's morning cause to celebrate? I probably can't have this for breakfast huh?

  4. Love it! Could you get away with this at breakfast? It's sort of a mimosa....sort of! ;)

(Oh and when I peruse the comments, I see that Sam had the same idea!)

Are you guys celebrating anything? Or just each other?

    Happy Thursday!

  9. Um where was this during my long hot Summer! Yummo, I always have a sparkling wine (the french told us off for calling it champagne ;)) but I totally would have stocked up on sorbet. Clever I'm pinning this too for next Summer.

  11. I happen to love champagne, so needless to say if I didn't have to give up ice cream for the taming of the shrew (my fat behinder) I'd be all over these floats.

  12. I now feel like I need to have a party (which really means convince one of my friends to have a party because my house is way too small to host a proper party) just so that I can have these! I want it's delicious floaty fizziness in my mouth right now!

  13. Even though I don't drink, that does sound good! Maybe I'll try it with sparkling grape juice!

  15. Wait, who says you need to find someone to enjoy it with? Hehe. Sometimes, alone time is enough to celebrate, haha. Great idea! I'd replace with sparkling cider, not just 'cause I'm expecting, but because I'm not much of a drinker. The only champagne I've ever liked was at my wedding reception, and not just 'cause it was my wedding but because it was sweet. Oh, I like dessert wines. And German fruit beers. That's it. Hehe.

  20. I love making these. We sometimes have a champagne dinner. Salad with champagne dressing, champagne chicken and champagne w/ sorbet or sherbet for desert. Um yummy. I have a recipe for champagne muffins now so maybe I should put together a champagne breakfast!

  21. Perfect combination! Is having the laundry all caught up a good enough reason to celebrate?? :-) Thanks so much for linking on Busy Monday!
