Hello Summer

Hello Summer.

With just a touch of fanfare, we celebrated Grace's last day of kindergarten.

It's hard to believe kindergarten is now behind us.

The sweet little girl below started kindergarten with a quiet bravery.

Where Grace bravely entered kindergarten, with no tears, confidently going to a new school, confidently meeting new friends, I struggled. This was a big step for me in letting her go.  But, I watched her confidence and her quiet bravery and I learned from her.

This past year, Grace learned to read and write.  She learned how to do a push up and run a mile!  She learned how to navigate life (if only in a small part) without me.

And, I learned to sit back and proudly watch her shine.

  2. Oh Amy, I know how hard it is. My son Sam turned 14 in April. Growing up!! Atticus is 12, he still likes his snuggles.
I have to be brave too and slowly let go.

I love how you wrote this post. Very well done.

    1. Thanks Erin.

I could agree more about the little lady part. It makes me both a little sad and proud.
