Paper Heart Garland

One of the items on my Christmas wish list, that I provided to my husband, was jute twine.  My husband no longer questions my list and knowing that he could go to Home Depot and buy twine suited him even better.

My husband obviously knows the way to my heart...jute twine.

With my jute twine in hand, I made a simple garland to add to our Valentine's day decor.  I cut out some red hearts (by hand...can you believe it!), secured them to the twine with miniature clothes pins and strung it up.

I am thinking, I may even add 'I love you' in different languages to each heart.

Or, maybe I'll write, I love jute twine...er, I mean, my husband onto the hearts.

5 Minute Valentine DIY Decor You'll Love

I am, and for as long as I can remember have been, a big fan of hearts. I wanted to come up with a simple to execute, bold and graphic decoration for Valentine's day using a heart.

What you will need:
A frame
Contact paper or card stock
scissors
Chalk

Using some chalk board contact paper, cut out a heart.

If you don't have any chalk board paper you can use some black card stock. Don't believe me...

Write something sweet on your heart and put it in a frame {I mounted my heart on white card stock instead of matting material}.

Then, decide where you want to show it off.

Who knows, my love frame might be sticking around even after Valentine's day.

All You Need Is Love - Silhouette Style

I realize not everyone decorates for Valentine's Day. I obviously do. For me, trying to survive the cold {sometimes dark} days of winter, I look forward to brightening up my house with some Valentine's Day decorations. I also like being reminded that:

So I dug out a few pages of colorful card stock and my silhouette to cut out some cheerful letters.

I taped my bright, colorful letters to some fishing line...

and then hung up my Valentine's Day garland.

No matter how you look at it, neither can be argued.
All you need is love. Love is all you need.
