Fleece {I used white}, scissors, rice, needle and thread
*Optional: embroidery thread to add an embellishment to your cloud.
Using this pattern:
Cut 2 cloud shapes out of the fleece.
Either by hand or with your sewing machine, sew around the perimeter of the cloud leaving a gap...
big enough to insert rice into.
Once filled with rice, hand sew the opening closed.
Pop them into the microwave for about 30 seconds, put one in your pocket and enjoy having your hand warmed up.
They are the perfect silver lining for any cold day.
Or, perhaps these cloud hand warmers will make you feel as if you are on cloud nine.
They would be perfect for stocking stuffers or even paired with a Starbucks gift card as a teacher gift.
*Don't have time to make your own? These are now for sale in my Etsy shop.

AHH! These are just what I have been looking for. It's been in the negative temperatures lately and my hands get cold fast, not to mention that these would be a nice step out of the box since I don't often work with felt. And I love the 'Silver lining' part, since we know every cloud has one of those... although I might just stitch a silver ribbon or thread in.
ReplyDeleteWOW thanks for all the inspirations!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your very sweet comment.

Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this
blog. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's difficult to get that " perfect balance " between user friendliness and appearance.
I must say you have done a awesome job with this.
In addition, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Internet
explorer. Outstanding Blog!

Did you make this web site yourself? Please reply back
as I'm planning to create my own personal blog and would like to know where you got this from or what the theme is named.
Thank you!
